Your collection

Coin photos, identity fields, sets and notes are stored locally on your device. Backups are shared only when you choose Export. You can delete individual records inside the app. Uninstalling may remove local collection data, so export a backup first.

Photo identification and research

When you explicitly consent to identification, selected coin photos are sent over HTTPS to CoinTrail's server and forwarded to its configured vision provider through OpenRouter. Do not include faces, addresses or personal documents. Market research sends coin identity fields to the research provider; it does not send your photos or collection notes.

CoinTrail does not intentionally store submitted photos or coin notes in its server request logs. Provider processing and retention are governed by OpenRouter's privacy policy and the selected model provider's terms. Photo analysis may be incorrect and is not authentication or professional grading.

Subscriptions

Apple or Google processes store payments. RevenueCat verifies subscription transactions. A random installation identifier, purchase identifiers, subscription status and store transaction information are processed to restore and verify access. CoinTrail does not receive your card number. Service protection

CoinTrail uses signed session tokens and hashed network identifiers to limit abuse. Usage counters expire automatically, generally within 48 hours. Operational hosting logs can include request route, time, status, duration and hosting network metadata. The app includes no advertising trackers or cross-app tracking.

Your choices

Camera permission is requested when you choose Take a photo. The system photo picker lets you choose individual images. Manual coin entry and local backups do not require a subscription or photo upload. Contact support for questions about server-side data; store subscription cancellation is managed in your Apple or Google account.
